How Custom Builds Work
Step 1: Application & Discovery
Week 1
You fill out detailed application. I review. If it’s a fit, you complete discovery questionnaire (business model, current tech, specific needs, 12-month vision).
Step 2: Custom Systems Blueprint
Week 1-2
I create visual roadmap showing exactly what gets built. Week-by-week breakdown. Feature list. Technical approach. Custom pricing based on your requirements.
You review. Ask questions. Approve or request changes.
Step 3: Contract & Payment
Week 2
50% deposit upfront. 50% at launch.
Contract signed via DocuSign. Project officially starts.
Step 4: Development
Weeks 3-8
I build on staging server. You get weekly progress updates (async video walkthroughs).
You can review and provide feedback throughout.
Step 5: Testing & Training
Week before launch
You test everything on staging. I fix bugs. Provide training videos and documentation.
Step 6: Launch
Final week
Migrate to live hosting (Kinsta, included in price). DNS changes. Post-launch verification.
Final payment due. Project complete.
Step 7: Post-Launch (Optional)
Add System Care for ongoing maintenance. Or maintain it yourself.

Moving From Your Old Site
If you have an existing site, here’s how we handle migration
Before We Touch Anything
- Full backup of old site (files, database, emails)
- Email migration to Google Workspace or Zoho (included in package)
- Test emails working before DNS change
During Migration
- Build new site on staging server
- You review and approve before going live
- DNS change happens after your approval
- Old site stays online during 24-72 hour propagation
Rollback Plan
If anything goes wrong, we can revert to old host within 4 hours.

Yes. Most people who do builds end up adding partnership within 6-12 months when they realize tech needs to keep evolving. You can add it anytime.
What if I need changes after launch?
30 days of bug fixes included. After that, you can maintain it yourself, add System Care ($400/month), or upgrade to partnership for ongoing development.
Do I need to provide content and images?
Yes. You provide all copy, images, and brand assets (logo, colors). I can project manage copywriting and photography if needed (additional cost).
What if my current site is on Wix/Squarespace/Shopify?
Can’t migrate those platforms. We’d build new WordPress site from scratch. Content would need to be manually moved.
How involved do I need to be?
Discovery questionnaire (1-2 hours). Weekly check-ins (15 min async videos). Final testing (2-3 hours). Total: ~5-8 hours over the project.
How do you determine the price?
After reviewing your discovery questionnaire, I create a Custom Systems Blueprint showing exactly what gets built and the investment required. Pricing is based on complexity and scope, not hourly rates. You see the full price before signing the contract.
